How much water do they need to live in?
They are labyrinth fish and have an auxiliary set of lungs enabling them to gulp air from the surface ... as a result they can live in small amounts of water
HOWEVER the water must be changed frequently to remove fish wastes which are toxic. THE BIGGER THE BOWL THE BETTER!
